Union 212 Designs was created out of my passion for designing in a way that brings people together, whether in person or simply in thought. The invitation you receive in the mail, whether for a wedding or a funeral, is intended to unite those we love - to create and celebrate a union.

A little about me…

Hello! My name is Dez and I am the creator and owner of Union 212 Designs. After graduating with my BFA in Graphic Design in 2013, I began working as a freelance designer, helping wide variety of clients, waiting - not very patiently - to find my "niche". My clients ranged from start up business owners to large corporations, from couples planning weddings to families celebrating the lives of loved ones recently passed. While I knew where my passion was, I was unsure of how to bring that passion to life.

In 2015, I was blessed to marry my amazing husband. While he is amazing for many reasons, I will forever be amazed by how well he tolerated a whole year of me being a complete control freak while I insisted on turning our whole wedding into a massive DIY project. I was able to combine my love for crafting (created and cultivated by two generations of skilled crafters before me) and my Graphic Design skills to bring my vision for our wedding to life.

Since then, I've held other jobs unrelated to my passion and offered my skills to friends and family along the way - designing invitations, creating event signage and more. With the support of my friends and family, I decided it was time to bring my dreams to life and create Union 212 Designs.

  • I come from a long line of “makers”. I was taught how to use a sewing machine in elementary school.

  • I have a not-so-secret love of power tools.

  • I’m a talkative Leo…but also a self proclaimed introvert.

  • I’m a Yankees fan - but I’ve never been to New York.

  • I’m a communicator both by nature and by trade. You can expect to hear from me every step of the way when we work together. I welcome any and all questions regarding your order!

  • I know all events work on their own timelines. Not every couple has a 12 month engagement. Not every party is planned 6 months in advance. Sometimes life just happens. Based on your needs, I will create a timeline and provide you with clear expectations of the deadlines we will need to meet to make your vision a reality - ON TIME.
